Professional Development Curriculum
The Professional Development curriculum will shadow the Young Artists classroom instruction so that our participants can gain first-hand experience in the methods of our world-renowned faculty. Topics include:
- Italian Language
- Recitative
- 18th Century movement for the stage
- Career Development
- Acting and stage direction
- Vocal Pedagogy
Additionally upon request, participants will have access to faculty for private instruction in voice, coaching and stage directing. They will have access to and work with our faculty to network and brainstorm ideas for their specific institution’s program development. At the end of each day, Professional Development participants will have a debrief with the Opera Viva! faculty to review the day’s instruction, discuss the students’ progress, and develop ideas that can be applied to their university programs and student instruction.
