Young Artists Program

Opera Viva! offers a unique educational and travel experience. The program provides the perfect balance between classes, planned events and free time for independent exploration. The vocal program is designed to focus and highlight the student’s voice through classroom instruction in the Italian language, acting and stage directing, opera scenes, musical theater and concert repertoire. Additionally, private instruction is given in vocal pedagogy, coaching, diction, Alexander Technique and career preparation. Performing is a major component of Opera Viva! and each vocal student will have the opportunity to perform on three public recitals featuring solo concert repertoire, opera arias and opera scenes. The curriculum for students focusing on stage directing and collaborative piano will closely follow that of the vocalists. Appropriate modifications will be made for private lessons, master classes and performances.
